What's the difference between editions?

This comparison is historical and is intended to explain legacy Sighthound Video editions. Edition names can still matter for account and feature access, but Sighthound Video is now an open-source, legacy product and license handling is manual.

  • Existing purchased Sighthound Video licenses do not expire.

  • The old self-service Support and Upgrades subscription renewal and Basic-to-Pro checkout flows are no longer the normal website path.

  • Current customers who need an up-to-date license or Pro access should contact support so we can manually update the account.

  • New users should create a Sighthound account first, then contact support so a legacy license can be created manually.

  • Some features, Remote/Mobile Access behavior, and previous-version downloads may depend on the license associated with the account and the installed legacy version.
