If you're having trouble streaming video on your phone, there are some things you can do to improve the situation.

Firstly, we recommend using an iPhone rather than an Android device, as we have found that Androids can have issues with Sighthound Video.

There are some settings you can adjust. To access these settings, go to "Tools," then "Remote Access," and finally "Advanced." Here are some specific settings to check:

  • "Enable live stream fast start": This will help your video stream start more quickly.
  • "Maximum Live Video Resolution": Set this to "Original" for the best video quality.
  • "Clip Video Quality": Also set this to "Original" for the best quality.
  • "Overlay" options: Make sure these are unchecked, as they can interfere with the video stream.
  • Audio playback: If you're seeing a black screen while streaming, especially on an Android device, it's possible that the problem is with the way the device is handling the audio track. To work around this issue, try disabling audio recording in the Sighthound Video camera configuration.
  •

By following these steps, you should be able to improve your phone streaming experience.
