The scheduled recordings feature allows you to periodically record images or video going into or coming out of the Traffic Counter (or other Deepstream) application on a DNN-Cam or DNN-Node.
Note: Scheduled recordings is only officially supported on Traffic Counter v1.9 and later
Accessing Scheduled Recordings Configuration

In the Sighthound Platform, click on the device that you would like to configure from the devices list

In the services list, select the configuration icon (
) for the Traffic Counter service running on the device to enter the Traffic Counter configuration tool. Here, click on the ‘Service Configuration’ tab

All input sources should be shown in the Service Configuration tab, with a config icon (
) displayed directly to the right of the each source selection drop-down. Click this icon to configure this input source

Under “List of recording scheduled events”, click “Add list of recording scheduled events” and another dialog will populate:
Input vs Output Footage
“Input” is the raw footage that is being fed into the Traffic Counter application. For example:
“Output” is the footage with bounding boxes and other On Screen Display (OSD) markings, coming out of the Traffic Counter application. For example:
Duration and Capture Interval
For videos, the duration field specifies how long the videos recorded will be, in seconds. The capture interval specifies how often images and/or video are captured. The capture interval entered should be in the format HH:MM:SS. Some examples are:

Capture a 5 minute video every 10 minutes

Once satisfied with the scheduled recording configuration, click “Save” in the source configuration. Then click the “Save” button at the top-right hand corner of the configuration page to save the overall configuration to the device

The images and videos recorded will, by default, be stored in a Sighthound-managed Google Cloud Platform (GCP) bucket. To gain access to this footage, please contact Sighthound support to set up a public GCP bucket for you.
